How my tutoring sessions work
I offer sessions both in person and online (using web meeting technology).
There are several ways in which I can work with you:
-If you have been working on GMAT problems, Quant or Verbal, and have specific questions you would like to ask, you can simply bring me the problems you are working with and we can go through them thoroughly.
-For those who need a more thorough review of the math, I can review all the math topics that appear on the test with you, thoroughly and systematically. I generally start with the major topics that appear throughout the test, and then move on to the smaller topics. We will look at both the basic math itself, and its application to GMAT questions. I will also show you basic arithmetic tricks that will improve your speed in doing calculations and in otherwise simplifying the questions.
-For those who need to improve their Verbal skills, I will work with you on understanding how the questions work and what the GMAT looks for. We will review basic grammar, discuss the nature of Reading Comprehension answer choices as well as strategies for approaching the passages, and consider basic principles of Critical Reasoning. On Sentence Correction, we will review the main errors that the GMAT puts in the sentences, and I will make you aware of the peculiarities of "GMAT English". I will also help you understand what is required on the AWA portion of the test.
In both Verbal and Quant lessons, we will discuss strategies for understanding and tackling GMAT questions and address the techniques the GMAT uses to make questions seem more complicated than they really are.
Unless you have just a few specific topics to discuss, it is unlikely that only one or two sessions will be sufficient to prepare you for the test. I therefore offer packages, as shown in the chart below. Furthermore, if you have friends who would also like to study for the test, I offer joint sessions with discounts as follows:

Tutoring can occur in one-hour, ninety-minute, or two-hour blocs.
Corporate clients and employees: I am able to offer lessons for groups of students at your office.
